Claret Cup Cactus

This plant goes by several names like "Hedgehog," or Mojave Mound Cactus," or "Kingcup Cactus." But around here it's the Claret Cup and it blooms in June. Now, if you're wondering why some of the flower are in focus and others are not --- that was the plan. It's photographed from a very low angle with a large aperture so that the background blurs. Some folks like that kind of artistic approach. Others like everything sharp. Let me know your preference.
