Sand Study 9

Posted by
Pixadilly (Taos, NM, United States) on 10 January 2013 in Abstract & Conceptual and Portfolio.

This is the ninth in a series of ten images of sand here on Ocracoke on the Outer Banks of North Carolina. Strong movement of water so weakened a section of sand that it collapsed into a low spot and got drawn away, leaving this sharp edge. But sand further down the beach maintained its rolling structure for an extended distance. My name for this image: "On and On".
